The Clock On The Wall

Time on the clock does not stand still
Time is our own, to do as we will.
What will you do while your hands still work?

Who will care at the end of the day?
Will you say "well done"?
Or your nerves be just "frayed"?

God calls each one of us to do our best:
Every new day becomes yet another big test.
Doesn't matter the "work"
Only to do your duties, and do not shirk.

No one knows the day or hour;
When that clock on the wall will suddenly stand still,
In honor and command of "HIS" perfect will!
For it's God's timing we all wait;
In our lives, it's not really "fate".

But a Father who lovenly stands at the Pearly Gate.
Have I done my best?
And at "His feet", I now can rest?

So many have passed thru the very same gate,
And it's for us now, that they still wait.
If they could reach out to us, what would they say?

Do your best! Please don't delay!
So many hurting, so many needing a loving hand;
To help them thru to Heaven's "Promised Land".
But they don't know the way!

Every one is a "God Given Opportunity"
Each one with a head bowed low;
Not knowing which way to go;
Needing someone to help show them the way.
Our Smile may be the one God has given to brighten their day!
Lift them up from the cares of their day.

What will you do with your "God given hours"?
At your hearts door, God stands and knocks.
Will you unlock the door?
And let God come thru?

The ticking of God's Clock-- He has handed to you!

God help me remember it's not "me";
It's the others who pass by on bent low knees.
May I do your will in my world today;
Helping someone else to get thru their day.
